ALEXANDRE CAPAN

The practice to which Alexandre Capan has devoted himself since the mid-2000s reflects a fairly simple approach to artistic work that makes no distinction between different media, or at least uses them in a non-hierarchical manner, adopting the basic premise that everything is painting...

ATELIER CASAL

Trained in visual communication and bookbinding at the Estienne school, Célia Casal perfected her technique with renowned bookbinders. In 2012, she opened her workshop in Burgundy, where she combines editorial design with contemporary custom bookbinding. Winner of the Ateliers d'art de France Prize in 2013, she exhibited her Kumo Arashi art stationery collection in collaboration with Florian Aviet at the Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 2016.

ATELIER MARTIAL

For nearly 50 years, the Orchestre national de Cannes has been offering around 100 concerts per season, driven by a diverse repertoire and a strong commitment to all audiences. Based in Cannes, it makes music for film a key part of its identity. Conducted by Benjamin Levy since 2016, the orchestra was recognized as a “regional national orchestra" in 2022.

ATELIERS MORET

Matthieu Perrament, a graduate of the Estienne School, has been an art printer specializing in intaglio and screen printing for over a decade. Trained by master artists and artisans in Paris and Montreal, he took over the Atelier Moret with Didier Manonvillier, while also developing a children's publishing business with Le Moulin des Tournelles.

FERNANDO PESSOA

Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935) is a major Portuguese writer and poet, creator of heteronymy. The author of a fragmentary and posthumous body of work, he left his mark on literature with his unique ability to explore the multiplicity of the self.

GÉRARD TRAQUANDI

Gérard Traquandi, a Marseille-based artist born in 1952, is a painter, illustrator, ceramist, and photographer. Inspired by nature and the Italian masters, he explores light and matter, between figuration and abstraction. His work is regularly exhibited and featured in numerous public and private collections in France and Europe.

IMPRIMERIE NATIONALE

The origin of the Atelier du Livre d'Art et de l'Estampe (Art Book and Print Workshop) dates back to 1538, when Francis I appointed the first king's printer for Greek, a founding act in the history of printed writing in France. Heir to the Royal Printing House founded in 1640, which successively became the Imprimerie de la République, Imperial, and National Printing House, it preserves a unique collection of punches, listed as a historic monument. Drawing on rare expertise spanning the entire typographic and intaglio printing chain, the workshop collaborates with artists and publishers on exceptional projects.

INGEBORG BACHMANN

Ingeborg Bachmann (1926-1973) is a major figure in 20th-century German-language literature. A poet and a writer, she left her mark on her time with the richness of her language and her commitment to opposing fascism and violence, making language the heart of her work.

JOSEPH KOSUTH

Joseph Kosuth is a pioneer of Conceptual art, known since the 1960s for his language-based works exploring meaning and representation. His practice spans installations, exhibitions, and public projects worldwide. He lives and works between New York and Venice.

KENNETH WHITE

Born in Glasgow, Kenneth White (1936–2023) was a Scottish writer who became a naturalized French citizen. Renowned for his work combining essays, narratives, and poetry, he won numerous literary prizes, taught at the Sorbonne and founded the International Institute of Geopoetics. His concept of intellectual nomadism, explored in works such as L’Esprit nomade (The Nomad Spirit), led him to a profound reflection on the relationships between humans and the Earth, ideas that are at the heart of his geopoetic approach.

L'OCHESTRE NATIONAL DE CANNES

For nearly 50 years, the Orchestre National de Cannes has presented around a hundred concerts each season, driven by a wide-ranging repertoire and a strong commitment to all audiences. Based in Cannes, the orchestra places film music at the core of its identity. It has been led by Benjamin Levy since 2016 and has held the “national orchestra in the region” label since 2022.

LOUISE BESCOND

Born in 1984 in Les Lilas, Louise Bescond lives in Brussels since 2005. A graduate of the École Estienne, she obtained a master's degree in bookbinding from La Cambre in 2008. Her career took off in 2013with her first exhibition at the Librairie Nicaise. Between 2015 and 2019, she furthered her studies with Renaud Vernier, Maître d’art. Supported by leading figures in the art world, her bindings were exhibited at the Galerie Charpentier in 2017 and at the Librairie Métamorphoses in 2021.

MARIE-CLAUDE WHITE

Marie-Claude White is a French photographer and translator. Her work explores the intimate relationship between nature and art through a geopoetic approach. Her photographic series, inspired by the world's shores, forests, and landscapes, demonstrate a profound connection with the living.

MOULIN DU VERGER

Based in Charente since nearly forty years, Jacques Bréjoux makes paper at the moulin du Verger, a listed 17th-century site. A pioneer in the revival of handmade paper, he uses a mallet stack to transform old linen sheets, exploring the origins of paper through Chinese, Arabic, and Western traditions. His experimental approach attracts prestigious institutions such as the Louvre, the Prado, and the Library of Congress. He provides custom papers for conservation, drawing, publishing, and bookbinding.

OLIVIER KAEPPELIN

Olivier Kaeppelin is a writer, poet, art critic, and exhibition curator. Founder of the magazine EXIT, he is the author of numerous essays on art and has collaborated with various contemporary artists. He has directed major cultural institutions (France Culture, the Ministry of Culture, the Palais de Tokyo, the Maeght Foundation) and organized major international exhibitions such as Monumenta, La Force de l'art, and the Busan Biennale. He is also known for his radio work, notably on France Culture.

PATRICK QUILLIER

Patrick Quillier is a poet, composer, and translator. A lecturer and researcher at the University of Nice, he is one of the major translators of Fernando Pessoa and other Portuguese and Hungarian poets. His poetic work is guided by a profound awareness of the world and the intimate.

PIERRE-MARC DE BIASI

Pierre-Marc de Biasi is an artist, researcher, and writer. His work is located at the intersection of visual arts, literary research, and humanities. Author of numerous books and producer for Arte and France Culture, he regularly exhibits both in France and internationally.

RUEDI BAUR

Since the 1980s, Ruedi Baur has developed an approach to design rooted in civic space and interdisciplinarity. Founder of the Intégral network and several international workshops, he has also created research institutes such as Design2context and CivicCity. He regularly collaborates with sociologist Vera Baur and was assisted on this project by Odyssée Khorsandian.

SUSANNA FRITSCHER

Born in Vienna in 1960, Susanna Fritscher lives in France since 1983. Her work explores the fragility of our relationship with reality through visual and sound installations. She has exhibited in various prestigious venues such as the Ginza Hermès Forum (Tokyo), the Centre Pompidou-Metz, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and the Lyon Biennale.

V&P AGENCEMENT

David Voisin, a graduate of the Boulle School and a skilled craftsman, creates bas-reliefs and designs high-end wooden fittings at V&P Agencement. Co-founder of an association of artisans of the decorative arts, he oversaw its development until 2015 and created the luxe à la française (French Luxury) trade show.

VALÉRIE SCHAEFFER

Valérie Schaeffer, a pianist trained at the CNSMD in Paris, performs as a soloist on major French stages and collaborates with musicians from the Orchestre de Paris and the Orchestre National de France. Invited to give concerts and masterclasses in France and abroad, she regularly performs with organist Jean-Baptiste Monnot since 2013, promoting the organ and piano repertoire.

VERGLASS°

Founded in 2007 in Paimpol by Julie Johnson and Éric Lemarié, the Verglass° workshop specializes in cane-blown glass. Known for their high standards and creativity, the two master craftsmen create unique, high-end pieces, entirely made in their atelier. Julie Johnson draws her inspiration from a notebook she always keeps close at hand, letting spontaneity guide her creations.

VINCENT TIZON

Principal oboe of the Orchestre national de Cannes, Vincent Tizon was trained at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris. He performs with major European ensembles under the direction of prestigious conductors and shares his passion by leading numerous masterclasses in France and internationally.

VIOLAINE BLAISE

A graduate of the National Heritage Institute with a specialization in textile arts, she is a heritage conservator-restorer.

YUKO KITTA

Yuko Kitta is a Japanese artist who masters the entire textile creation process, from the cultivation of dye plants to production. Since 2011, she has been developing her workshop in Okinawa, where she creates clothing and installations rooted in an ecological approach, aiming for a natural return of materials to the earth. She primarily uses Ryukyu indigo, which she cultivates, along with other local plants, to create her natural dyes.
