Louise Bescond is a fine bookbinder.
A graduate of the École Estienne and La Cambre, she is also the sole student of Renaud Vernier, Maître d'art in bookbinding.
Carrying on the great French tradition, she has created more than 300 decorated bindings since 2008 for booksellers, collectors, and institutions, including four for the Bibliothèque nationale de France. In 2026, this prestigious library entrusted her with the handwritten letters comprising Albert Camus’s correspondence with René Char. That same year, following a private donation, her work was added to the MoMA’s collections.
