PIERRE-MARC DE BIASI

Pierre-Marc de Biasi is an artist, researcher, writer, publisher, and journalist. A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure, he holds an agrégation as well as a doctorate, and has obtained his authorization to conduct research (HDR). He pursued a triple curriculum in literature, philosophy, and visual arts. As a research director at the CNRS, he has published around fifty books and more than three hundred articles on Flaubert, genetic criticism, the creative process, paper, contemporary lexicon, art history, eroticism, mediology, and digital culture. He has produced documentary films for Arte and three hundred programs for France Culture. He also oversees several collections at CNRS Editions. His work as a visual artist (painting, sculpture, video, installation, performances) has been featured in about fifty exhibitions and in seven public commissions. His works are part of about a hundred public and private collections, both in France and abroad.
