A Word from the Editor: the Perfect Ending to a Wonderful Year

Dear readers,

It is with a heart full of gratitude that I write you this last letter of 2025.

Last Thursday, we experienced a magical moment in the enchanting space of the Librairie Métamorphoses bookstore. So many of you came to celebrate the fifth anniversary of les éditions Leal Torres, and to rediscover our four titles published to date: Le Gardeur de troupeaux, Les Cygnes sauvages, Für Ingeborg Bachmann, and Le hautbois de Delphes.

We also had the great pleasure of unveiling our next project, Comment naît un livre ?, in the presence of Louise Bescond, the bookbinder who created original engravings for this work, and Marie Poirot, editorial director of the Atelier du Livre d’Art & de l’Estampe of the Imprimerie Nationale, co-publisher of this book about the creation of a book.

I couldn't have imagined a better way to conclude this year that turned out to be decisive for our publishing house. My deepest thanks to all of you, dear friends of les éditions Leal Torres, for your dedication to books, your encouragements, and your support. We are privileged to have you by our side on this great and wonderful adventure.
